The green dot beside "Student" indicates that you are currently active on the website.

Here, you can see your current session and term.

Here, you can see your Classes for the day, if there are any.

Here, you can see your assignments if there are any.

Here, you can see your Class Performance if there are any.

Here, you can see upcoming events in your school, if there are any.

Here, you can see upcoming birthdays.
