# How to create an exam group on Cloudnotte

**What is an exam group?**

An exam group just as the name implies is you grouping your exams so you can track an exam for accountability purposes and simplicity so you dont have your exam screen littered around 🤩🤩.

**Let me walk you through step by step guide on how to do it.**

Firstly you must be an admin to perform this action.

Go to **settings** and then click on **CBT**

on the **CBT settings** screen, we have two options which are:

1. **Exam group**
2. **Question Tags**

The **Exam group** is the active tab showing first. Click on the **Create exam group**

Once you have clicked on it, A dialogue will appear on your screen to create the exam group.

Enter the exam group name. E.g if the exam you want to setup is Mid term exam, you can call this Mid term exam.

Select classes that can take this exam. You can select multiple classes here

You can enable the exam group or now\.. if an exam group is disabled , it won't be visible when teachers want to setup an exam..so you can enable it for them to setup an exam.

Kindly click on the create **exam group button** to create the exam group.

You will get a success alert that exam group has been created successfully.

***Note**: You can also edit and configure an exam group after it has been created.*
